Melissa began dancing at the age of 13. After learning the basics to ballet, jazz, tap and musical theatre she quickly found Hip Hop to be her favorite. Melissa has competed and performed throughout North America and Europe and has won numerous awards at competitions and dance conventions including a Monsters of Contemporary Scholarship and winning nationals at the International Dance Challenge in Boston, Mass. She has also furthered her training in Hip Hop with the Souldiers Dance Company. Melissa currently performs with Kinesix dance crew and teaches in dance studios in the lower mainland. Melissa comes highly recommended by both her colleagues and former instructors. Melissa is excited to join the Dance Trance team of teachers as of the fall of 2010!!!
