Swinging Singing Rhythms have tapped their way to victory in several recent bouts.

The group placed first at the Chilliwack Festival, Dance Power Surrey, Dance Power Abbotsford, and Peak Invitational in Burnaby. They also received high scoring group awards at all four competitions.

The dancers weren’t the only ones who were recognized, as their choreographer Suzanne Zelmer won judges’ choice award for Top Tap Choreographer/Top Tap Routine at the Surrey and Abbotsford competitions.

At all four, dancer Melissa Pehlke took first place in tap solo for the age 17 and up category.

Madelyn Hall has also done well with her solos. She was recently selected as the 1st runner-up provincial representative at the PAC West Festival.

Dance Trance Dancing School and Talent Agency is having a recital on June 23 at the Bell Centre in Surrey. It will feature both of the soloist and the show will open with Swinging Singing Rhythms.

Tickets art $12 in advance and $15 at the door.
