Alana Koolen’s love for dance beganthe young age of 3 locally in South Surrey. She grew up competing and performing all over the West Coast winning numerous high score medals and scholarships. Alana
also completed the AIDT jazz exams achieving “Honours with
Distinction” in the Advanced syllabus and is continuing her training with the AIDT Associates Teachers Program.
After graduating from Langley Fine Arts School, Alana continued her training overseas at the University of Central Lancashire in England. Here she performed around Northern England and trained with leading dance practitioners, including Lyndsey McConville, Anthony Briggs, Jennie Reeves, and Giorgio De Carolis.
In the summer of 2017 Alana graduated with a First Class Bachelor of Arts Degree with Honours in Dance Performance and Teaching.
