BREAKDANCE
Breakdance, officially called breaking or b-boying/b-girling, is the original Hip-Hop dance. It is a freestyle dance comprised of four main elements: Toprocking (dancing standing up), footwork (ground moves done on all fours), freezes (stalls and stops in movement) and powermoves (spin moves). Students will learn how to take the foundational moves and mix it in with their own personality and creativity and make it their own dance. Breaking is often done to a variety of different music such as funk, soul, hip hop, and rock.
